A 5-week theatre program for Ridgewood District students who have completed grades 9-12.  Students must attend all rehearsals and performances; there can be no exceptions.

The season will include two plays and a musical.
The Imaginary Invalid - July 8 & 9
The Mouse That Roared - July 15 & 16
Guys & Dolls (musical) - July 29 & 30

Each company member will be cast in one play and the musical.

Summer Company members have a tuition fee of $350.00

The tuition fee is due by May 6th, along with a signed summer contract.  A parent signature must appear on the contract.  Contracts are available on the web site, in the theatre and in Dr. Schaefer’s office.

Auditions will be held in late May or early June. Specific dates: TBA

Coaching sessions will be available for students interested in solo musical roles.
Times for these sessions TBA.

Rehearsals for the first play will begin in early June.

Beginning June 27th, rehearsals will run from 6:30 – 11:00 Monday through Friday and during the day on Saturdays. There will be rehearsal on Saturday, July 2nd but not on Monday, July 4th.

There will be no Saturday evening or Sunday rehearsals. However, all company members must attend Strike on Sunday, July 31st.

Juniors or Seniors may elect to do only a portion of the season. However, the tuition fee remains $350.00

All students in the Summer Company have crew responsibilities. Crew hours are available Monday through Saturday. Times: TBA

  • The Junior Company is an intensive theatre program for Ridgewood District students who have completed grades 5-8 and who are interested in acting.
  • The program involves a 3 week session, Tuesday July 5th – Friday, July 22nd.  Students must attend each session without interruption.  Students may be asked to discontinue the program if absences occur.
  • Sessions are held from 10:00-2:00 during weeks one and two, and from 10:00-3:00 during week three.  Rehearsals and performances are in the RHS Little Theatre. Performances dates are July 21st and 22nd.  Each student will perform on one night.  We cannot take requests for a student to perform on a given night.
  • The Junior Company is taught by advanced high school theatre students under the supervision of New Players Company staff members.
  • The tuition fee for the 2011 Junior Company is $450.00 payable at the time of the application.  Tuition will be refunded if a student is not accepted.
  • We cannot accept more than 90 students.  When we reach 90 applications, we will close the application process.  In the event that we receive fewer than 90 applications, we will continue to accept applications until May 27th, 2011.
